Computer scientists and engineers are just beginning to explore cyber security as a distinct subfield. Emerging B.Tech programme in Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) is introduced in the year 2020 with an intake of 60 students in order to meet the growing demand for qualified security experts in both the public and private sectors.
Information security, which encompasses the safeguarding of computer networks and systems, has three primary goals: privacy, data integrity, and accessibility. Cyber security is the collection of measures taken to prevent unauthorised access to computer systems, networks, data, and electronic communications. The goal of cyber security is to prevent unauthorised users from making changes to or taking devices offline.
Students who complete a programme in cyber security will graduate with the capacity to lead, manage, and contribute to the development of cybersecurity solutions, as well as a thorough awareness of the legal requirements pertaining to cybersecurity. Mastery of all facets of government and national security, including but not limited to secure programming, information, network, and online security, cryptography, cyber risk, and security in context (including but not limited to legal, behavioural, and ethical challenges).
