Research & Development Cell (R&D)

Research and development (R&D) is an essential component of academic excellence and innovation in any institution. R&D activities include publishing research papers in peer-reviewed journals, writing book chapters for reputable publishers, and filing patents for novel inventions. These activities demonstrate the quality and impact of the research conducted by the faculty and students of the institution.

Functions of Research Development Committee:

  1. To motivate faculty members to register for Ph.D. and carry-on active research work.
  2. Recommend the institution to provide the money for faculty to do active research.
  3. Encourage all the faculty and students to attend a greater number of Technical Symposia/Seminars/Conferences/Workshops/FDP.
  4. Improve the number of research publications.
  5. Submit sponsored research proposals.
  6. Recommend the institution to allot funds for student research.
  7. Recommend the institution to publish its own research journal.
  8. To inculcate the concept of research among students by arranging paper presentation competitions.
  9. To encourage publication of research articles by sending deserving entities to journals.
  10. To identify members of the faculty who are research oriented.
  11. To submit project reports to AICTE/UGC/TEQIP to facilitate funding, grants etc.
  12.  To establish MOU’S with other institutes/Labs/Organizations for projects.
  13. To organize short-term Training Programs and workshops.
  14. Encourage research activities at the College level in the feasible areas.
  15. Promote consultancy services to outside organizations.
  16. Identify relevant social problems in which the faculty and students can involve and recommend solutions.
  17. Encourage faculty and students to solve society problems by way of research.
  18. Give wide publicity about the research capabilities and facilities available within the institute to the outside world and get consultancy projects.
