Sree Dattha Group of Institution's, Central Library is housed in an independent, spacious and well-equipped facility, with a carpet area of 426 sqm and hosts a rich collection of books, scientific & technical journals, and a vast collection of electronic resources. The central library has dedicated sections demarcated for reference, circulation, periodicals, reprographic, newspaper materials, discussion room, stacking area, and digital library. In order to offer better and effective services to the user community, library operations were completely automated using the E CAP software. This software can manage various tasks like issue, return, renewal, reservation, catalogue and information retrieval using pre-defined functionalities. On weekdays, the Central Library is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on holidays, it will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The reading room has a capacity of 75 students.
Library OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) is typically accessed through the internet. As a result, anytime, anywhere access to the catalogue is available to our user community. E CAP software is currently being used as an ILMS at https://103.15.62.178
Library collection includes daily newspapers, a total of 3896 titles,17616 books, 74 print journals, 7000+ e-books, and 30000+ e-journals that are accessible. All the books have bar codes, and the circulation desk uses bar-code laser scanners to process book transactions. Each student receives three textbooks on a renewal basis with a 30-days loan duration.
The security system for library resources is kept up with frequent inspections and timely entry and exit are
ensured. The entire library is under close observation using CCTV cameras. The college central library also holds institutional memberships with esteemed libraries, including DELNET, a national digital library for e-resources and e-journals with dedicated internet bandwidth assigned to the computers in the library.
